(-6x7 + 12x6 + 3x3 - 6x2) (3x2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure if you mean (-6x^7 + 12x^6 + 3x^3 - 6x^2) (3x^2) but if you do, multiply 3x^2 by EVERY number in the expression (-6x^7 + 12x^6 + 3x^3 - 6x^2) (3x^2) times (-6x^7) equals -18x^9 because when you're multiplying like exponents, ADD the exponents. Multiply the coefficients. (3x^2) times (12x^6) equals 36x^8 (3x^2) times (3x^3) equals 9x^5 (3x^2) times (-6x^2) equals -18x^4 Now, bring this all together and you get -18x^9+36x^8+9x^5-18x^4

thank u ms pretty that was the question Divide the polynomial by the monomial. Enter your answer as a polynomial in descending order, using the caret ( ^ ) for exponents; for example, enter x2 as x^2.

Divide? then what I typed is wrong because I multiplied.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
