solve, log2(a^2+3)+log2 4=4 please show work and steps.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\log_{2} (a ^{2}+3)+\log_{2} 4=4\] \[\log_{2} (a ^{2}+3)+\log_{2} 2^{2}\] \[\log_{2} (a ^{2}+3)+2=4\] \[\log_{2} (a ^{2}+3)=2\] \[\log_{2} (a ^{2}+3)=\log_{2} 2^{2}\] then,\[a ^{2}+3=2^{2}\] \[a ^{2}=1\] hence, a=1 or a=-1
