" foreign exchange rate between the U.S. dollar and the Japanese yen is 1:90 " Means that ONE us dollar is equal to NINETY yen. So you can make a chart: 1 dollar = 90 yen 2 dollars = 180 yen 3 dollars = 270 yen ... hey wait a minute, I'm just multiplying the number dollars by 90... so ... 15 dollars = 90*15 yen :)
