For stuart's graduation party, his parents rented a tent for 500.00 and hired a caterer that charges 15.00 for each person that attends the party. If a people end up coming to the party.which algebraic expression can be used to calculate the total cost of the party?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Total cost = rent + caterer charge

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which one is it? 500+15/a or 500+a divided by 15 or a(15+500) or 500a+15 or 15a +500

OpenStudy (anonymous):

500+15a= total cost You know the 500 is right off the bat, then the cater charges 15 per person so a is the number of people. Add both to get total cost. I do not think any division is in involved
