Multiplicative inverse of 4+3i

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i believe multiplicative inverse are the values that will make it one...

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

but it may be not the case in complex numbers..i cannot seem to recall

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

It is the same in the complex numbers. So you want to find a complex number a+bi such that \[(4+3i)(a+bi)=1\]

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

I've got to leave, but look at the complex conjugate \(x=4-3i\) to get a real number, and then see what you need to get 1.
