I chose to factor out a negative, like this...

-(3x squared - 16x + 16) then I got stuck

so i'm assuming you got stuck on how to solve out the 3x squared - 16x + 16
so there are many ways to solve a quadratic
but factoring, quadratic formula, or squaring the function are the main methods
but since factoring is easiest we'll factor
