Look at the equations. If 3a + 2(b − 2c) = p then p = 3a + 2(b − 2c) Which property is used to write the equations? Answer associative property of addition commutative property of addition distributive property of equality reflexive property of equality

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it may be the last one or the second? im not good with properties really

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any guesses? first step is to see what is the actual difference between the two equations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait distributive?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they look identical, except that in the first one p is on the right of the equal sign, and in the second one p is on the left

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in other words the first one looks like \[\text{junk}=p\] and the second one looks like \[p=\text{junk}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but there both equal so it would be one of the last 2 options for equality right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

although i have never heard of the "distributive property of equality" before

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so what is reflexive mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is "reflexive"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like looking in a mirror \[A=B\] same as \[B=A\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the equal sign reads both directions \[2+3=5\] \[5=2+3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oooh the makes since ok cool thank-you so much for helping me i have three of theses assighnments to get done before noon cuz there is a really bad storm coming =/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hurry up!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know!!!! =O
