Why is it not easy to whirl a hammer tied by a longer chain?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because with a longer chain you are giving the hammer momentum so it will take more strength to move (aka.) whirl

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any effect on centripetal force?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope for the fact that centripetal force is defined as a force which keeps a body moving with a uniform speed along a circular path and is directed along the radius towards the center

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if radius increases then any effect?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i got it thnxxx alot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup
