Find the polynomial function with roots 1, 7, and -3 of multiplicity 2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since the root of -3 has multiplilcity 2 then the factor (x+3) appears twice. ie, (x+3)^2. to get the polynomial function just multiply these out: f(x) = (x-1)(x-7)(x+3)^2
