How hard is it to major in physics in college?
As hard as you make it. Study, and it shouldn't be terrible. Problems become fewer and fewer, but take longer and longer. MATH is crucial, especially word problems.
Brent0423 if you like what you study it will naturally become easier so study something you like. I hear about people who find math easy and people who find it hard. Same applies to all majors.
a bit hard
Later on, it will be harder to look back and wish you had. Do what you love. If you want something easy, I suggest a degree in business or art history. If you want something rewarding, physics is it.
No major in college is "easy." I agree with nsutton and Leaper. I'm graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. It is the single hardest thing I've done in my life, but it has been the most rewarding, and I have loved every second of it. Why? Because I love what mechanical engineering is all about! If you love Physics, it won't necessarily make it easier, it will make you more passionate about your studies, which means you'll love learning about it!
If you work hard and believe you can then you will. Go in believing you can and you will. Walk in believing you can't and you won't. It is only as easy as you want it to be. If it is something you enjoy doing then yes!
