How can a rotating fan illustrate the electron cloud model of an atom?

OpenStudy (egenriether):

The electron cloud model says the electrons are whizzing around the center so fast they are treated as a haze of electrons, not as individual particles. The blades of a fan, while discrete objects, look smeared out (not like individual things) while they are rotating. That would be my guess.
