Solve the equation. If it is an identity (all real numbers) or a contradiction (no solution), so state. 4x + 3 + 3x = 8x + 3 – x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4x + 3 + 3x = 8x + 3 – x 7x+3=7x+3; here I just added 4x and 3x together, and 8x and -x together on each side both sides are teh same therefore it is an identity that is true for all real numbers because whatever number you plug for x, the left hand side of the equation will always equal the right hand side.
