How do i do 124 through 126?
good lord! when was this book written 1956??
people haven't used log tables since the advent of modern calculators, sometime in the mid 70's you got a slide rule too?
haha. & no.
seriously your math teacher must be out of his or her mind assigning problems like these but we can do them anyway. for \(\log(756)\) this is the same as \(\log(.756\times 10^3)=3+\log(.756)\)so now you have to look in the table and find \(\log(.7560)\) and add 3 to the result lets do it the real way
answer is 2.8725 http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=log%28756%29&a=*FunClash.log-_*Log10.Log-
hence D no wonder you said you hated logs. really not to be mean, but this is ancient history nonsense. i haven't seen a log table in use since i drove my ford pinto
hahahaha. lol
just take the log on a calculator and pick the right answer
i dont have to solve them, i just have to put them in scientific notation.
