What study resources do you have to work from?
If you have a textbook, I'd advise looking at the detailed table of contents with sub chapter headings and figuring out what on that list you do and do not know. Then start reading the stuff you know least well. And illustrations are your friend. Start with them and only read the actual text for clarifying things you are not clear about. A lot of useful info gets packed into pictures and into the captions in dense form. Best of luck to you.
Look for patterns in the material that you have to study, and if you get the chance, look up as many Greek/Latin species names and scientific terms as possible. If you know that "gastro", for example, means "stomach" and "dermis" means "skin", you can guess where a jellyfish's "gastrodermis" might be even if you haven't actually studied it.
