I believe but don't know for sure that the missing information is that the angle has been bisected by the ray.
That sets up the problem solution to be done by the theorem: If a ray bisects an angle of a triangle, it divides the side opposite that angle into segments proportional to the lengths of the other two sides of the triangle.
If that assumptin is true,
x/10 = 10/x
8x = 100
x = 100/8
x = 12.5 which is one of the answer options
