Line EF passes through the points (0, 1) and (3,3). Line JK passes through the points (8, 2) and (6, 5). These lines are A) skew. Eliminate B) parallel. C) concurrent. D) perpendicular.

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

find the equation of the two lines .......(in slope-intercept form)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

what are they

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

y=mx+b if the equations are the same then the lines are concurrent. If the equations have the same slope (m), but different y-intercept (b) they are parallel When the slopes(m) are different they intersect ....If the slopes (m) are negative reciprocals of each other then they intersect & are perpendicular
