This is not a mathematics question, but it is related to math, so I am going to put it up here. I want to become a Research Mathematician and a Math Teacher. How far do you think I should get before I am graduating high school? (By the way, I am currently a freshman in high school (9th grade) and currently I am watching MIT OCW 18.02 Multivariable Calculus.) Thank you in advance!

There's not a minimum amount you should study besides the basic math courses. I say that from the perspective of someone who majored in mathematics and teaches math, but did not study calculus in high school.

That being said, if you're certain about what you want to study this early, then you are in an awesome and unique situation, and you should take advantage of it by getting ahead =)

what level of math teacher. If you want to do research, I suggest a PHD in math. PHDs are expected to do research. High school teacher and middle school teachers don't have the time or energy to do research. You also, need support to do research....
