Use the formula to change base!

The logs can be broken down into the following: \[\log_{8}3 = (\log3/\log8)\] \[\log_{5} x= (\logx/\log5)\] since they must be equal we can set them to each other and solve for the variable: \[(\log3/\log8)=(\log x/\log5)\] rearrange and solve for x. (Note:logs without bases are base 10, can also use ln for calculations)
