Solve the inequality. –6b > 42 or 4b > –4

Parth (parthkohli):

\(\Large \color{MidnightBlue}{\Rightarrow -6b > 42 \Longrightarrow -b > 42 \Longrightarrow b < -42 }\)

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

divide both sides in the first by '6'. then change sign and reverse inequality. similarly divide by 4 in second, and then do the same. Now the applicable values of 'b' will be the intersection of values obtained from those two equations.

Parth (parthkohli):

Whenever we divide by a negative, the signs of an inequality change.
