Is the following equation true? Use complete sentences to explain the properties used in making your decision. 2 log 5 x + 1/2 log 5 y – 4 log 5 z = log 5 (x^2 sqrt y)/z^4.

these are all log base 5 correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep, that's correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k now explain the properties used in making your decision

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on the left side, first apply the property log_b (x^y) = y*log_b(x) to all the logs. then apply log_b(MN) = log_bM + log_bN and it's quotient counterpart to the logs from left to right.

they're not complete sentences but i think you can fill that in... english is not my favorite language... :(

k thanks man u really help ALOT!!!!!!
