Does the last sentence have a period on the end?

The second sentence is correct:  "and did some shopping" is kind of like an afterthought right in the middle of the sentence, if that makes any sense.  So, it needs to be set off with commas.  If you remove the part between the commas, you will still have a complete sentence.

The first one needs a comma.

The third one has too many commas.

The last one needs punctuation.
