What is the simplified form of x^2-25/x-5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the apper part is (x-5)(x+5) continue from here

upper*

x - 5, with the restriction x not equal - 5 x + 5, with the restriction x not equal 5 x - 5, with the restriction x not equal 5 x + 5, with the restriction x not equal- 5

when you simplifie you get: (x-5)(x+5)/(x-5)=x+5 so this has no problem with the domain, but the original expretion does. So since you got here from x^2-25/x-5, you have to respect it's restriction, which is "x not equal 5", so x + 5, with the restriction x not equal 5
