If f(x) = 5x2 – 8x + 13 and g(x) = 6x – 5, what is f(x) + g(x)?

To add two functions, you simply sum the terms of the two functions.

i dont know how to do that

Yes you do. You just add together all of the terms in function f(x) with all of the terms in function g(x). So if in an example, f(x)=2x^2-5x+6, and g(x)=2x-4, you would just add those terms all together, 2x^2-5x+6+2x-4, then simplify by combining like terms, to get 2x^2-3x+2. Now do that with your two functions.
