Benjamin spent more than $20 on lunch for his co-workers. If burgers cost $4.50 each and sodas cost $1.25 each, which of the following is not a possible combination of burgers and sodas that Benjamin could have purchased?

5 burgers, 1 soda 4 burgers, 3 sodas 3 burgers, 6 sodas 2 burgers, 8 sodas

Look at each of the answer choices separately. For example, the first choice is 5 burgers and 1 soda. 5x$4.50 = $22.50 and you don't even have to add the soda's price in to know that this is a possible combination and therefor not the answer we are looking for. Does that help?
