Nancy cuts a piece of cardboard in the shape of a triangle. What could be the lengths of the three sides of the triangle? I can't seem to get the right answer -_-

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

is the length of the cardboard given?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. 2 cm, 3cm, 6cm B. 2 cm, 4 cm, 7 cm C. 2 cm, 3cm, 4cm D. 2 cm, 4 cm, 1 cm oops forgot these

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

nothing else except this is given?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

hmm check...if you add two sides it must be GREATER than the remaining side

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i only see one option that qualifies ^_~

OpenStudy (anonymous):

.. b? lol d;

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

Nw let us assume that the length of the three sides are a,b and c. a+b>c b+c>a a+c>b If all of these are satisfied then it forms a triangle.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

2, 4, 7...add 2 and 4 is 2 + 4 greater than 7?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh c!

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

righty-o
