hey how do I categorize the local diseases? do I go by age groups or by the different parts of the body? and where can I get accurate statistics of the local diseases in my country, Singapore?
People usually classify infectious disease by the organism which causes it. Often the same infective organism can cause disease in people of different ages and it causes symptoms in many different parts of the body (and sometimes different parts of the body in different people), so that is the most orderly way to classify it...
I am actually doing a project on primary healthcare and a component of it talks about local diseases. So I was thinking of listing down the diseases, but there are so many based on this website that I found, http://www.hpb.gov.sg/diseases/default.aspx?azid=&pgno=2 How do I actually introduce local diseases? Do i talk about everything even the very micro ones? Or do I just mention the very common ones? And how do I get statistics on how many people are suffering from the disease in my country? This is tough man..
