quick algebra question....what is the general term for the square root, cube root, 4th root, etc. i.e. if they're called radicals/radicands/roots/etc.

Parth (parthkohli):

What do you mean by the question exactly, sir?

Parth (parthkohli):

I guess that square root IS the general term for square root.

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

"nth root of something"

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

what is the collective term for those things

Parth (parthkohli):

Roots.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

roots? you sure?

Parth (parthkohli):

\(\Large \color{MidnightBlue}{\Rightarrow x^{1 \over 2}, x^{1 \over 3}, x^{1 \over 4}... etc }\) To add.

Parth (parthkohli):

Or radicals

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

well thanks anyway...im not good in the technical stuff hehe

Parth (parthkohli):

Lol, I don't get it. And this ain't no algebra

Parth (parthkohli):

What was the answer btw?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

im asking -_-

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

why the heck would you ask the asker what the answer is =_=

Parth (parthkohli):

Then I guess they're radicals.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

but radicals are symbols right?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

lol i'll just call it roots..thanks :D

Parth (parthkohli):

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):
