I don't get it. The rules for logarithms are being explained in session 18 and are being applied in the previous 2 sessions already??? This is a weird pattern that occurs regularly.

Since the lecture clips from those sessions appear in chronological order from lecture 6 1601 I can only assume that it is simply due to Prof. Jerison's teaching method. He sometimes gives examples before giving proofs or explaining things indepth. I found iot to be slightly disconcerting at some times myself, but think I have goten used to it now. I would suggest to watch it twice to give the examples a chance to sink in or perhaps use in conjunction with some other resource.
