A stone is thrown vertically upwards with an initial velocity of 25ms^-1 . Find the height that is reached by this stone after 3s. (Acceleration due to gravity = 10 ms^-2)

sam (.sam.):

a=-g u=25 t=3 h=ut+(1/2)at^2

sam (.sam.):

you still there?

OpenStudy (asylum15):

Acceleration = negative G since you are moving up when gravity acts downwards.
