OpenStudy (mathhelp346):

Factor: t^3-t^2-2t

OpenStudy (mathhelp346):

should i factor out the ts first?

OpenStudy (mathhelp346):

is t(t+1)(t-2) right or would that be considered factoring completely?

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

Yeah, we factor out the monomial first. t(t^2 - t - 2) <- Then factor out binomials t(t - 2)(t + 1)

OpenStudy (mathhelp346):

so would factoring completely be ok even though they said to factor?

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

Yeah, I imagine what they are looking for is the completely factored form.

OpenStudy (mathhelp346):

ok thanks

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

You're welcome. :)
