When preparing some solution for analysis, chemists must be aware that some solution processes are very exothermic. Sodium hydroxide solutions are often used when analyzing acid solutions. What temperature change would you calculate for a solution, starting at 25.0 degrees celsius, made when 100.0 g of water is mixed with 10.0 g of NaOH? Assume the heat capacity of the solution is the same as that for water.
