Need help with my Romeo and Juliet essay!
What kind of help do you need with it?
So my essay is basically about the importance of Act 1 scene 5 which is when Romeo and Juliet meet for the first time. I have my theis and my 3 reasons but I'm having trouble organizing all the reasons into body paragraphs..
okie dokie...whats your Thesis and reasons look like?
Thesis:Regardless of the story Romeo and Juliet, the scenes in the play have remarkably few sceneswhen both Romeo and Juliet both on the stage, but the first meeting in Act 1 Scene 5 is without a doubt the most important scene as we witness love at first sight. Its important because..: 1. They meet for the first time 2. They fall in love 3. Danger and tension between the 2 families.
The play Romeo and Juliet have few scenes where both Romeo and Juliet are both on state.Their first meeting in Act 1 Scene 5 is important because we are witnessing love at first sight. So your first paragraph can talk about the tension between the 2 families...what the family business is for both families, why is their a rivalry, and how do Romeo and Juliet feel about this rivalry in their minds.... Then you can talk about how they meet. What was the occasion, who was there, what was each character thinking. You can then focus on how in that scene they fall in love. Why do they fall in love? What is something that attracts them to each other? Are their any outside forces in play to make this love forbidden? i hope this helps a bit! :-D
thanks that helps a lot!!
Oh and i have another question how can i differentiate between the paragraph about falling in love and meeting each other.?
no worries umm...it depends on what kind of transition statement you use at the end of your meeting paragraph...when you talk about them meeting you can talk about the environment they were in, who was with them, why was they both there, stuff like that...as per their falling in love, you can talk about what i mentioned earlier: "Why do they fall in love? What is something that attracts them to each other? Are their any outside forces in play to make this love forbidden?"
oh ok thanks makes sense!
no worries
