I have seen people posting writing with different fonts and colours. Is there some sort of coding scheme laid out with this system? If so, where could I find a guide for it?

You are asking about $\LaTeX$ formatting. An amazing tool for math writing. Also, if you see a particular example, and you want to see the coding behind it, right click the math/text, go to "Show Math As" and click on "TeX Commands" To practice, you can try here. $$\color{MidnightBlue}{\text{KingGeorge}}$$
