Computer Science 20 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am looking to do computer science at University (undergraduate) in 2013, Which course do you recommend; a 4 year BSc including a year in industry (If a placement can be found), a 4 year BSc including a year at an abroad partner University or a 4 year MComp?

OpenStudy (across):

That would ultimately depend on what your goals upon graduation are.

to get a job lol

In that case, you should think about going for the option that gives you the opportunity to spend a year in the industry.

It's a great industry

It depends on where your located and what do you want to do with Computer Science. Like you can either go to a 4year school and get your certifications, or you can just get your certifications. For me, I am going for my bachelors/masters, I have one certification already and I have 3 years of experience. That's only because I want to start as close to a CIO (Chief Information Officer) or CTO (Chief Technology Officer) as possible. First, find out what you want to do with CompSci. Commitment is key. Then, when you know what you want to do, or how you want to use your information, that will help you know what path you want to go. Then have the courage and diligence to STICK with that path, no matter if things dont go your way. Good luck to you man.
