I'm so confused right now. Are we supposed to give hints only or are we supposed to give the entire solution?

I think giving hints at first is great! Sometimes though people need to be walked through the entire process. Do your best to keep the asker involved in his/her own question.  We are trying to teach.  I realize some of us have more experience at teaching than others.  So just as long as you aren't just giving the answer I think is fine.

anyway...as for me i usually go to a question...give a hint for the first step...then leave...then repeat the process to some more questions....if either one of them wants to learn i come back and teach it step by step (but i still rarely post solutions) i phrase my responses as much as possible for it to be helpful at the same time not making the answer obvious
