When it comes to subtracting mixed fractions with the same denominator, for example 4 1/5 - 2 3/5. Do I just flip it to 2 3/5 - 4 1/5 and solve, or do I solve it differently?

Best not to do math with mixed fractions. Convert into improper fractions: 21/5 - 13/5. The answer is 8/5.
