Please help :)
@Callisto @Ishaan94 @ParthKohli
How do we find this out?....any graphical method?
what is your qustion ?
its there written in the top?
what can i helpe you
i need to know how to find the centre of mass? and i need to know the explanation
@apoorvk
can you find AC using Pythagorean theorem?
huh....its the centre of mass they are asking for?
an electric current is formed when a conducive pass is created to allow free electrons to continuously moved
your image link opened up a different image earlier - some bug may be. okay now..
Okay what do you think is the possible answer?
is that for me? boss
@apoorvk i think its B, but i donno, if a familliar question like this comes, i m not able to assure my answer
Okay, A is simply not possible right? Do you agree?
The answer is assured here. Just follow me.
sure..
Do you see that that B is almost at the middle of the body, but the mass is concentrated more towards the lower portion?
or rather B can even be considered lying in the upper half of the body, right?
but how do we know that..
by visual instinct what else? by looking.. do you agree that the mass of the lower half is more than the upper half?
yes then?
Answer is "A".The center of gravity of an object is the balance point around which there are equal moment arms of length times weight. The object can act as if all its weight was concentrated at the centre of gravity. Just spin the card,holding the pin,the card rotates at point A which is the centre of gravity.
thats not the answer bro..
the answer is B. in this case just by careful analyzing we can say that.
hm okay...thnks
but the answer is C...i checked the marking scheme...@apoorvk @ramkrishna
if you want to find it out with some experiment then take two points E and F (shown in attached figure) and hand it out at these points and then draw the vertical lines. center of mass is that point where all the three lines intersect .
i know it's C. because the CoM will be shifted towards the place where the mass is more concentrated. - i asked you to follow me man -_-
ofcourse can't be at the bottom most point, i.e. 'D'
sorry. answer is C by mistake i wrote B.
i dint get u @apoorvk, whats CoM?
@zaphod did you understand the experimental method of finding the center of mass (COM)
@ramkrishna CAN U SHOW ME IT IN A DIAGRAM
|dw:1337598150853:dw| i have two system of particles - edit my diagram and show me what the approximate location of CoM would be acc. to you?
