I've been thinking about this for a while. Why dosen't OpenStudy have a donation button. Ill gladly donate money to OS.

Well .... I think that's because OS is a completely 'non profit' organisation. Their aim is not to earn money but to offer help to all their users. They also need not worry about their users getting help because there are OTHER users. And anyway @Carniel, not many people will be able to help because some active users are students just looking for help(like me). We won't be able to make any donations(though I would like to) to OS and my parents won't be very willing to do so. What worries me is that adding a donation button may turn OS into a 'profit' oriented company. There are many websites like that(like Cramster) who take money even to ask a single question! A website like OS is very rare to come across - completely free!! There are very few websites like that and I want OS to remain like that.
Its not that I don't like your suggestions, but I hope you understand my fears. It is up to the mods and admins to make the final decisions though.

Wikipedia asks for donation too. Donations dont decide whether a company is for profit or not.

If I recall I said donate not pay for something. Just because its a non PROFIT orginization dosen't mean ppl cant donate.
