OpenStudy (anonymous):

and there is no equation given either

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

the instantaneous rate of change is the derivative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we havent learned derivatives yet

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

what information is given?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take any two consecutive values..say instantaneous speed = (x2-x1)/(t2-t1). in calculus we calculus we call it derivative..

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

or you could graph the data and measure the slope

no graph is given either
