Which of the following describes the relationship between frequency and wavelength? As frequency increases, wavelength increases. As frequency decreases, wavelength decreases. As frequency increases, wavelength decreases. As frequency increases, wavelength is unaffected.

well i ll tell u one formula v=nxlambda velocity n=freequency now see the relation if u take velcoity a constant \[n \alpha 1/\lambda\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

frequency is basically how many cycles per second the wavelength performs. So with music when you play a middle A, for example, it might have 440 cycles per second, and when you play an octave above it, the frequency (cycles per second of the wave) increases by a factor of 2, to 880 cps. This shortens the wavelength, because the cycles are more frequent. So your answer would be (c). Some more cool things to look at are: amplitude and tambre.

As frequency increases, wavelength decreases. frequency is inversely prop to wavelenth.. \[nu=c /\lambda\]
