Mathematics 7 Online
OpenStudy (grant330sims):

Find the remainder when f(x) = 2x3 – 12x2 + 11x + 2 is divided by x – 5.

OpenStudy (amorfide):

remainder theorem is if you sub in 5 and get a remainder of a number then it was divided by (x-5) so think of the (x-5) equal to zero so it is saying sub in 5 into the f(x) and see what you get

OpenStudy (amorfide):

answer is your remainder

OpenStudy (anmolsingh):

there are two ways u can do this... 1) divide 2) but the divisor x-5=0, which will give u x=5 Now solve for F(5) and you will get the remainder

OpenStudy (grant330sims):

Is the remainder 7?

OpenStudy (amorfide):

well done :D

OpenStudy (grant330sims):

sweet! Thanks man!
