Two things. First, we can't answer your question unless we know what kind of situation you're talking about. I assume that a capacitor is involved but beyond that I have no idea what you mean. Second, we are not here to answer questions ripped straight off your homework word for word. If you want a better and more engaged response, try asking something like "When you're charging and discharging a capacitor, would the same amount of charge go into charging it as would leave when you discharge it?" That way, you'll get responses from people (like me) who are jaded and tired of giving answers rather than explanations.
