In the triangle below, the ratio that represents sec θ is . True False
15/9
@marissalovescats i have this same question but my choices are: A. 4/5 B. 5/3 C. 3/5 D. x/z
do you have that same triangle? and want to know what sec theta is?
In the triangle below, what ratio represents sec θ? http://curriculum.kcdistancelearning.com/courses/GEOMx-HS-A09/b/assessments/R-RightTrianglesandTrigonometryExam/Geometry_8_Exam_FINAL_53q.png
Secant is the inverse of what?
cosecant
Good cosecant is COH which is opposite over hypotenuse making secant be hypotenuse/opposite. So what would sec theta be?
its either B or C but idk which one
Oops I meant cosine is CAH adjecent/hypotenuse lol So secant is the hypotenuse side/adjacent side So the hypotenuse is 15 and the adjacent to theta is 9. So 15/9 simplifies to what?
3/5?
no 5/3
Yes 5/3. 3/5 would be cos theta so 5/3 is sec theta
yay! thank you so much for your help :)
