Bioaccumulation is the accumulation of toxic substances along the food chain. Once a toxic substance is introduced into a food chain it will be aggregating and increasing in concentration which is called bioconcentration.This toxic substance will move up the food chain where it accumulate in the organisms and injury or death may occur when the toxins reach certain concentrations in the organisms.
