what are some key points i could put in my thesis about aborption

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well first you need to know if you are for or against it. Are you writing a persuasive essay or a research paper?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*Political - state, federal policy *Legal - appellate/Supreme Court decisions *Medical - health pre- and post-, risks, benefits, etc. *Ethical - personhood, choice, life, religion, etc* *Media - portrayal of the issues, stakeholders, etc. Many many more...

im writing ah research paper and im against aborption

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A research paper does not ask for an opinion or require you to pick a side. It wants you to go in depth and explain what abortion is. Your thesis should not be vague but not too specific and open enough to give you space to write and explain more on it in your body paragraphs.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You have to also decide on what aspect of abortion you want to explain to the reader. How its done, or how it affects the women before and after, what the government thinks about it, what the different opinions are of the people about abortion. you have a range of things to talk about in your research paper. once you have decided i can help you with your thesis.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would like to talk about how it affects women before and after , and what other people think about it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, so now think about what you want to talk about in each body paragraph. you should have 3 topic sentences at the least.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i guess the emotional pain after the aborption, or the feelings about regret. the gov opinion on allowing aborption in the united states, and peoples different opinions on aborption

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, so your thesis has to state what you want to talk about in the body paragraphgs. i.e. i want to right about how OpenStudy has helped alot of people. In the first paragraph i would talk about the subjects that are offered for help and why openstudy was created, the next paragraph would be about how they may have helped students pass a class, and the third would be about how it has helped me. So since i know what i am going to talk about my thesis would be something to explain overall what i am going to talk about. Thesis: OpenStudy was created for students who need help in subjects like math, science and english. It has helped many students futher understand concepts and help them do better in school.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I hope that helps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes its help..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for research papers, you want to give background on the subject, evidence on the subject, and even possibly opinions of credible writers on this topic..you might find news articles or something in a magazine or on a blog. Just make sure if you are going to include public opinions that you use credible sources and writers! and paraphrase too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okayy thanks alot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem. I love writing essays (:

It looks like you've had help, so I just have one concern. Did you run this topic past your teacher? Even in my college English classes, we were not allowed to cover controversial subjects like abortion, suicide, or illegal drugs. I just want to make sure your teacher is aware of the subject.
