Is it correct to say/write I will graduate college next month. If so, why is this okay when it seems the sentence would be I will graduate from college next week. Thanks for your help. Lynda

The first one is incorrect. Actually saying that means you have the power to graduate an imatimate object. You can't graduate a college. Does that make sense to you? The secong is perfectly correct<3

I would have thought that it was can american english usage. (In British english "from" would indeed be used.) If it is, then isn't it understood as an expression, right or wrong and therefore not necessarily subject to grammatical analysis?
