one thing to keep in mind, since this is an equilateral triangle, then all sides are the same. So then, if there are 3 sides of equal length what would you say the length of s is?

you must be off doing something.. I don't know.. but basically 3s=p and you know p so s is easily solved for and the area of a triangle is base*height * 1/2 and to find height just use the Pythagorean theorem
