using the equation s=93 log(10) d +65. what is the distance a tornado could have traveled (d) going 35 mph (s)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have to solve for d, and then plug in 35 for s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well yeah I got that. but I am not sure how to solve for d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay i will give you a list: 1)subtract 65 from both sides 2)divide both sides by 93log(1) 3)plug in 35 for s, and 4)shazzam , you got your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but that doesn't sound right because the 93 in front has to become an exponent of the d.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah thats cool, but stil you can divide both sides by 93log(10), and then make 93 and expoenet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so once i subtract the 65 from 35 I get -30. then divide that by 93 log(10) how do I do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont think you get it: check it:|dw:1337668198344:dw|
