It means exactly what is stated. It's just a true-false option so you here must say that it is false. Electric field lines don't contract or extend, they are always unlimited.

As electric field lines emanates from positive charge and go to negative charge, hence they get contracted longitudinally, this is the indication of force of attraction b/w unlike charges.

I posted the answer but it won't display.. so here it goes again
the electric field lines are contracting as they get closer to charges.. they are contracting.. that is what the third point says..

you can even compare it with longitudes of earth..
