Plz Help:) [File Attached]:-----
What does the 3rd point mean? Please explain:)
I mean:-- "Contract Longitudinally"?
The above attachment is for help:) But plz help me understand the 3rd point of first attachment:)
sorry your problem is more difficult than mine and i dont even get mine that well
It means exactly what is stated. It's just a true-false option so you here must say that it is false. Electric field lines don't contract or extend, they are always unlimited.
But these are the properties from a physics book. How can it be false? This result/point is true.
It is really confusing then, this point needs more explanation. I mean what they meant by contraction.
I have this link but couldn't understand the point.
As electric field lines emanates from positive charge and go to negative charge, hence they get contracted longitudinally, this is the indication of force of attraction b/w unlike charges.
I couldn't understand the point.
I posted the answer but it won't display.. so here it goes again |dw:1337684470031:dw| the electric field lines are contracting as they get closer to charges.. they are contracting.. that is what the third point says.. you can even compare it with longitudes of earth..
