When tossing 2 coins, P(at least 1 head) = 1 - P(not all tails). A. True B. False

OpenStudy (anonymous):

true

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

so I toss two coins - very well. What are the possible outcomes - think think ;)

OpenStudy (callisto):

I think it's not true, that is false P(at least 1 head) = 1 - P(all tails). Since other then all tails, all other outcomes satisfy the condition. So, you'll get the above expression

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

lol sorry typo - i am hallucinating -_- "not all tails" --> same as "atleast one head"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is it true or false?

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

possible outcomes -->HH, HT, TH, HH atleast one head when - HH, HT or TH P=3/4 'not all tails' means every outcome except 'TT' = HH,TH, HT = same as 'atleast one head' so, P = 3/4 so, will that '3/4' be equal to '1- (3/4)' ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

So, true or false?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

false
